How it works (for first-time users)
A friendly, step-by-step guide to find, export, and upload STL files — no 3D printing experience required.
Find a model or design one
Want a ready-made object? Browse community sites and marketplaces for free or paid models. Try Thingiverse, MyMiniFactory, or Cults3D. If you work with a designer, ask them to provide an STL file.
Export as an STL file
If you're using a 3D app (Tinkercad, Fusion360, Blender), export the model as an .stl. When exporting, choose millimeters (mm) if prompted and the recommended mesh/quality for printing — most apps have an "Export → STL" option.
Check file size and scale
Keep files under 50 MB. If your file is very large, reduce export resolution or split the model into smaller parts. Make sure the model is the physical size you want (we assume mm). If you're unsure, include notes when ordering and we can help adjust scale.
Upload to order page
Click "Start Your Order" or visit the Order page, then drag & drop your .stl file or click "browse files". We'll analyse the part and give an instant weight and price estimate.
Choose material & color
Pick the material (PLA, PETG, ABS, or TPU) and a color. If you need a flexible or rubber-like part (phone cases, gaskets), select TPU. We show the estimated weight and cost before checkout.
Checkout & we print
Complete secure Stripe checkout. After payment, our team reviews your file for printability, suggests fixes if needed, then starts production and ships with a real-time carrier quote from Mount Vernon, Ohio.
Need help preparing your file?
- We can fix common issues (thin walls, non-manifold geometry, incorrect scale) during our production review.
- When placing your order, include the desired physical size and preferred material in the order notes so we can prepare it correctly.
- Quick tips: export in millimeters (mm); avoid extremely thin features; split very large models into parts and keep each file under 50 MB.
